Nanoscope 8.0

Nanoscope is a Windows-based instrument control and data analysis package developed by Digital Instruments/Veeco Metrology Group for their scanning probe microscopes (SPMs), including MultiMode, Dimension, and BioScope systems. It provides real-time setup and control of AFM/STM experiments and a comprehensive toolkit for processing, visualizing, and interpreting nanoscale surface data.

Key capabilities:

• Integrated control of common AFM/STM modes, including contact, tapping, phase imaging, and force spectroscopy, as well as selected electrical and magnetic contrast techniques.
• Streamlined scan setup with automated tip approach, live imaging, parameter monitoring, and feedback optimization.
• Robust data visualization in 2D and 3D, with cross-sections, histograms, roughness statistics, and feature/particle measurements.
• Image correction and processing tools such as plane and line flattening, filtering, and line-by-line artifact reduction.

• Optional offline analysis, allowing users to process and review data away from the instrument.
